Mark Chapman has spent over 25 years in the international marine industry with detailed knowledge and experience in luxury boats and motor yachts, sales, yacht marketing, managing sales teams, strategic planning, international brokerage, market research, and the import and distribution of world-renowned boating brands. More recently, Mark currently operates the dealership for Searay, Beneteau, Mercury and Cobia Powerboats for Sydney, and the greater area which are operated through Chapman Marine Group, a sister company to Chapman.
Mark’s Journey
As a qualified and experienced marine engineer, New Zealand-born Mark Chapman has attained a number of high profile positions, notably MD of namesake Chapman Marine Group, Dealer Principal for Sydney Princess Yachts from 2000 to 2006, Sales and Marketing Director for the importers of Fairline Boats UK in Australia from 2009 – 2011, and Executive Broker for Princess Yachts Australia. Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to develop and enhance the brand presence and identity of leading motor yachts into the Australian market, including Princess, Fairline, Chris-Craft, Riva, Regal, and Wellcraft.
Mark’s proven track record in product development and marketing communications as well as his ongoing passion for delivering the highest standards of sales and service in the industry have earned him numerous awards, including Display Excellence Awards at the Sydney International Boat Show, Number One International Dealer for Chris Craft USA, the Admiral’s Club Award, the International Sales Award for Regal Boats USA over three consecutive years, and the Platinum Award for top International Dealer for Fairline Boats UK. Mark’s intimate knowledge, integrity, and unequalled experience have cemented his market-leading reputation for building brands and sales performance across a variety of boating classes. Today, Mark heads the Chapman Yachting Sales team, in line with Chapman Marine Group which will aim to complete the Chapman yachting team’s complete catering to high-end Yacht Brokerage and sourcing of Yachts Australia-wide and internationally.
